there's like a slight delay, maybe 2 seconds or so, when switching from drive to reverse and vice versa, is this normal?

 

I think every vehicle with an automatic transmission that I've driven has had a small delay when it shifted between reverse and drive; this sounds completely normal to me. (I suspect it's actually less than a second, but it can sure feel like a long time when you're waiting for it.)

 

i got two fits, one with 1.3 engine and the 1.5 vtec engine both ATs but the 1.5 sometimes takes longer to engage into gear this is from a full stop
