I actually have the same noise coming from my 08 fit. I bought it with 44k and I now have 106k, and it has always made this noise. I have done all maintenance, and I have asked about a valve adjustment at my local Honda dealer several times. They checked it out and swear every time that that is normal and I do not need a valve adjustment. I would love to hear any insight or feedback from this post as well.

 

Not normal. I would get a "mechanics stethoscope" at a parts store (they can be cheap) and check around. Sounds to me like it's coming from the alternator.
