Hi all

Dont know a lot about cars but my mrs recently passed her test in automatic only so nagged me for a car, i was put onto a 54 plate 1.4 cvt jazz,95,000 miles in good nick, decent 1st car, now its been fine until the last few days, missing/coughing type of issue at about 2000rpm when accelarating, i bought a new egr valve and problem still there, got it plugged into a diagnostic machine and showed "crankshaft sensor" so bought a new one and had that fitted by a mechanic mate who works at Hyundai, problem is still there, ive ordered 8 new plugs which i hope may help but to be honest im hoping you guys with give me the some advice before i go skint and buy her a pushbike haha....

Any ideas please guys?

Hi Steve,

Don't swaet the "life story." We all do that.

Others here are more expert, but I'm going to suggest that you consider that one or more of your coil packs has gone bad.

I don't know anything. Don't take any action because of me. But you might put coil packs on your list of things to check.
