My '08 Sport Automatic is now at 130K.

I have done all of my oil changes, while ignoring other maintenance tasks (but I recently started rotating tires). But, since I was pretty busy and I had a weekend trip coming up, I went to an oil change place for the last oil change.

The oil change guy showed me the cabin air filter. It was very filthy and I had them replace it.

It it worthwhile to change the tranny fluid??

Anything else?

Yes it is worth changing ALL of your fluids. If your oil gets dirty then that's bad for your engine and same goes for your transmission fluid.

I just got mine done recently and it feels and runs smoother especially after getting values adjusted

 

Honda recommends 1st tranny fluid change at 60K, followed by every 30K thereafter. Some folks do the 1st one at 30K instead. Just make sure it isn't flushed; drain and fill procedure only.

 

wait, why did the oil change guy even go inside to check cabin filter?

regardless, change your tranny fluid every 25-30k miles. your transmission will thank you with VERY long life!

 

also, dont be like 90% of car owners and skip the brake fluid. Change it out every 2-3 years if you dont like paying for calipers or excessive amounts of brake pads/shoes/rotors
