Hey, if a Smart Car and Prius can pull one I know our Fit can! I joined the Fit trailer towing crowd recently after selling my Dodge Ram. My 2012 Fit Sport Auto does a great job towing a 4x8 Harbor Freight utility trailer and gets over 30 mpg doing it. Of course, I haven't really loaded it up yet....probably 800 lbs total trailer + load. But, it's handled what I've thrown at it so far very well. Having said that I would be leary of trying to pull more than about 1,000lbs total for a long trip, but the campers you guys are talking about look to be under that as long as you don't pack everything including the kitchen sink.
