Hey there, I noticed after 4 months and about 6 000 km since my last oil change that my oil level was very low, like 1 / 4. But the oil wasn't black but still pretty clean.

So after just 127 000 km on the odometer, I find that a bit strange. My mechanic could not think of any reason for the leak.

I changed the oil and filter and after 1 week and 550 km of use, the oil level on the gauge is full and the oil golden.

So hear my theory : Since the oil was not blackened I don't think that my engine "ate" the oil like an old 250 000 km honda would do.

My guess is that maybe I did not pushed back enough the oil gauge stick and oil was leaking from there, or maybe one of these giant potholes made the stick to unclip.

If no oil leaking under the car then suspect you may not have had the dipstick in all the way. I would make sure to check it often to see if it recurses.
