k20 swap

k20 swap

Debating on doing a k20 swap in my 08 honda fit. Curious on average cost
Parts needed and any leads on a partially or fully built k20. Thnx in advance.

I was into the same thing, turned out to be too costly, you'll essentially be paying the price for another used Fit or something. I mean, I would totally do it but I could just get a better Civic Si for 12k instead.


Here is an estimate for some of the bits and pieces from Hybrid Racing.

Cables, fuel stuff, etc.

on top of this you'll have to supply:

Engine Mounts by Hasport - about 300 dollars (?)

K20 engine - about 3000 dollars

Tranny from an RSX - 1500 dollars

ECU from RSX - 500 dollars

then there are engine components like the headers and stuff.

You are also forgetting the hasport harness running dual ecu's which is about $1500.

I was in the same boat after riding in jpax's supercharged fit. I just decided going turbo would be better. Plus I can do a full forged internal l15a for about what that harness costs.

you do NOT need dual ecus

I’m curious... what is an l15a? And what sort of power could you get by turboing a fit?
