Skunk2 Short Shifter install - Sloppy in neutral.

All set screws are tight. I can't figure out why neutral is so sloppy. The slop it when shifting 1-2 or 3-4.

Anyone experience this? I know I'll have to take it all apart again but everything looked fine.

Thanks.

yeah I did when I first installed mine.

I pulled it back apart and used lithium grease to coat the inside of the shifter cable cup.
I also noticed the allen set screws didnt hold anything very well so I went to a hardware store and got longer hex head screws and replaced them. Be sure to use lock tight on the screws cause they are constantly getting banged around.

that tightened things up for my shifter at least.

Awesome idea; do you remember the pitch? I guess I could just bring in the extra ones they had with it...

well, that was an easy fix. i just didn't push the shifter hard enough into the adapter. once i took it apart and put it back together, it went an 1/8th an inch further. this made so much more sense. the new screws did help though, but not necessary.

thanks for the help again, this is a great mod
