Replacing interior carpet

I have 168,000km on my Fit. I am the original owner. My carpet is wearing down bad in some spots. Thinking about re doing the carpet. Should I buy oem or is there a better after market carpet? I'm not worried about doing the job. Should take a few hours. Take off all kick panels, front seats, centre console, and the rear seat. Not sure how to remove the rear seats, other than that I dont see any issues. Is there a better solution to fix these carpets other than the oem replacement?

I'd also be interested in doing this someday. The stock carpet is just so cheap.

Mines worn where my left foot rests while interstate cruising and pulled out where a dead pedal would be.

I emailed stockinteriors.com a couple times about getting stuff made for the GD, I'm not sure if they ever went through with it. You may want to throw them a message, they make very high quality replacement carpets.

Cleaning our GD yesterday reminded just how bad the OE carpet on the GD was.

Yeah I hear that. After 8 years my carpet has taken a beating. Want fresh carpet before my weathertechs come in. I saw some online sites, but none do make any for the Fit. Pretty reasonable in price. Once again though, none for the Fit.

This install will be so easy as you don't need to remove the head unit like on the civics. Just seats, console, and kick panels. And those panels all snap on. Seats are 4 bolts each, rears are 7, console is 2 screws haha.

Hey Gino, keep us posted. I want to do the same thing. I wonder how much the stock carpet would be vs aftermarket

I would definitely look into doing a soundproofing job. Might as well go the extra mile while the seats are out.

Looks like the stock carpet is at least 300$. To get an idea of the price, I look at bernardi and multiply by two. That gives me the price at my local honda! Too bad they don't ship to canada (or if they did, shipping would offset the savings.
