Solved! It was a bad coil pack on cylinder 3!

Now I just hope that 2000 miles on a dead coil pack didn't mess up my catalytic converter

At 150,000 miles, you should have already checked and adjusted your valve clearances at least twice and changed your spark plugs at least once if you're following Honda's minimum recommendation.

Again, my suggestion to you is to: adjust the valves, change the coilpacks, and change the spark plugs - if you haven't already followed Honda's minimum recommendations. Tackling each of those maintenance items just takes you one step closer to the next maintenance item. Just do them all together because it's time to do them, you're experiencing symptoms of those problems, and many others before you have had positive results with those exact items solving their issues in the exact same car.
Given the extreme expense of adjusting valves in Canada (~$1000), I am wondering what are the consequences of neglecting this? And what are the symptoms of valve clearances that are out of whack? Now that I know my issue was entirely due to 1 bad coil pack, I'm wondering why bother adjusting valve clearances (aside from the fact that it's recommended by the manufacturer) if there are no problems/symptoms.

I've got the same idle issue on my 2008 Fit. Just ordered new coil packs and spark plugs from Rockauto last night. Will install it all this weekend.

Installed my new Denso coil packs and spark plugs over the weekend. My Fit now idles completely smooth. No bad idle or hesitation on acceleration. The job was very easy to do and I purchased the coil packs and spark plugs from Rockauto. Total cost was around $235. I view this as normal preventive maintenance, like replacing brake pads and rotors.
