2008 Honda Fit / 140k miles

Hey guys is it worth upgrading the car at this point. It runs good I just got it. Other than tint, wheels, stereo system, and lowering it what else can I do?? I'd appreciate the help. Thanks.

If you'd like to do more performance. Go for it bro. Honda owners know theyre just getting started 100,000 miles. You're totally fine. You wanna hear that throaty tone only VTEC can do, add a good intake & exhaust. Want even more efficiency while getting free power, add one step cooler spark plugs, premium gas, & 0w-20 synthetic oil (per your mileage might want to make that 5w-20 or 10w-20). Rear anti-roll bar & front strut bar to stiffen the chassis which at your mileage you'd feel a huge difference in stiffness. Need any other help as far as stuff on a budget, hit me up. If i can't help on something, i'm not gonna lie and send you back to the forum to ask.

Just add a rear sway bar and you'll be good to go on the track

hmmmm

i bought my fit with 3 miles on it.. now i have 223,000. and i just did a jdm front end conversion, rear is literally on a boat on the way over here, just bought a js racing lip and a set of Volks.... wanna trade milage? the worst that can happen is you have to replace the whole engine at some point or whole transmission. it sounds scary but a whole engine in decent shape for a fit at the most goes for 800 bucks and the trans is probably less. when people say will the car last what they are really saying is will the engine last and what that means is at some point the car needs to be more of a passion than an investment. If you love your car and you're willing to put in the work you can make any car last indefinitely. no matter how many miles. when something breaks. fix it and go on with your life. easy enough.

L15y8 I think. I can give you a good read on your engine if you like. Your engines VTEC is more VTEC-E (E=economic). Similar valvetrain to the Civic HX from 96-01. The HX D16 made 115hp. More than DX/LX 109hp but less than EX true VTEC at 127hp. Dont be scared to drive it like you stole it. If it wasnt meant to be driven like that, they'd lower your cars redline to 6k rpm. There is a ton of easy hp to be made from mid-range to top-in or Hondata wouldn't have raised the redline even further. It'll be fun.

I can't say enough about my 08 Honda Fit.

I have 95 thousand on mine, and I'm now getting compliments from my neighbor on how nice my car is. I have it is the silver storm color, with 2011 sport rims on it, with Kumho tires, this car is still fun to drive, my gear shifter cover is the only thing that looks used. I haven't done any work on the car myself, but do plan on during the spark plug replacement when I hit 100,000 miles. the belt I will keep an eye on , I hear it, but only when it's super cold outside. like 5 below zero. Good Luck with your new Ride and Welcome to FIT FREAK
