3rd and 4th gear do not work
3rd and 4th gear do not work
I snapped an axle. Replaced it. Filled up with tranny fluid. Car will not shift into 3rd and 4th gear. 1st, 2nd, 5th, and reverse work. It feels like the shifter is hitting a wall and will not go into 3rd and 4th.
I did not do anything to the inside of the tranny at all. Is this a shift linkage problem or an internal problem? Is a linkage blocked from debris or is it internal and do I have to hit up a transmission shop?
I'm inspecting linkage tonight.

This issue has been resolved.
On top of the transmission. Right under the battery tray there is a bolt. This bolt has a bearing for the transmission with a spring in the bolt as it is a hollow bolt. You need a washer for the bolt as I saw on a Honda parts diagram. I placed the washer on the bolt and boom I got third and fourth back.
