I just bought a Honda FIT 2005 about a few months ago and have wondered from when I first got the car, what this little sensor actually is/does

It's probably the temperature sensor for your outside temp reading

 

Did you buy your car new or pre-owned? What country are you in?

 

No idea of how many toll roads are in your area but it looks like one of the modules that allows you to do the 'fast path' when using one?

Googled ETC and Toll roads and this came up,'Global Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) Systems'

 

Could also be an old-style antenna connection for a cell phone aerial.

That's a flashback to the '80s and '90s tho'.

Thanks for the prompt response guys.. I live in NZ, which has minimal toll roads (I think there's only one)
I got the car second hand, I think it was an import from Japan, which could be why it has one

I've been looking around for a sensor that looks similar to what I have and haven't found anything
I found a similar picture to the post you linked Rampo and am trying to find more information to see if it does anything for me in NZ.. Otherwise I'm just going to rip it out =D

On a sidenote, there isn't any other ETC related stuff in my car (At least from what I can see)

Does anyone know anything more about the one I have, I don't want to rip anything important or useful from my car
