Start the engine, Put it in a gear and let the clutch pedal out and rev it up like you are driving it.

What is the speedometer doing?

It's not a clutch problem. Did you do a clutch job at the same time as you did the lowering springs....or did the clutch job happen long before this?

If you only messed with the springs today....You pulled an axle out too far and the inboard joint has now separated....all completely inside the rubber boot if it hasn't been torn open now. Look to see if one inner CV cup is spinning but the rest of the axle is not.

Or an axle pulled out of the trans....but that's not likely if it's been driven around since the clutch was installed....pulling on struts and steering knuckles makes the situation of an inner joint getting pulled apart far more likely. One or both axles may be affected depending you what you did..

Yes.....when you tipped the steering knuckle to make some room to get the strut(s) in and out, it pulled the axle shaft....and pulling the shaft about 5-8cm out of the inboard CV joint cup is about all it takes to cause the failure.

Good luck. Maybe you can get the axle replaced under warranty?

Well you said the speedometer still goes up so that means everything inside the trans is still intact and turning all the way to the differential, the differential drives the VSS so it's all spinning.........so the problem would seem to be isolated to between the trans and an axle, one axle or the other. The most likely places for the failure is at one (or both) of the inner CV joints.

The seat belt beeper is the only one i could think of that beeps a few times then waits for several seconds before beeping again, and it probably only does this while there is a vehicle speed input from the VSS. (going from memory here)
