Bad TPMS controller or ?
My mechanic installed 4 new wheels with "Schreader EZ Sensors" on my 2008 Fit. The control unit does not seem to recognize them; the TPMS light is still on. They say they think the control unit is bad. I am skeptical and want some more info before shelling out for a control unit. My questions:
- could they be not doing the programming correctly?
- is there a way to test the control unit?
- are there any known compatibility issues with these sensors?
thanks all,
Steve Gaarder

Factory sensors are best, I've had several aftermarkets cause issues......
There are several different sensors that are not interchangeable, maybe the wrong type was installed....
MAYBE your mechanic isn't doing the programming procedures correctly. The car can't learn new sensors on its own...and it cannot learn incorrect sensors at all.
Do you still have your originals? Were they bad?
