New brakes

My 07 GD Jazz/Fit discs are almost gone,
actual size should be 258mm (front), 239mm (rear).

Since stoppping power is never too much, was wondering if a standard civic disc which should be 262mm and have a reasonable cost (even here In Italy) would help on the front, or not.

Thanks in advance for any suggestion,

Stefano

There is more to brakes than the size of the disc. Just buy a BBK.

A more aggressive pad might be all you need.

There actually is such a thing as too much stopping power if you're not also investing in better tires and suspension to take advantage of them. In addition, you want to make sure that, if you're driving on the street, you get a pad that's meant for the street, because race pads have very little bite (worse than a street pad) until they're hot. StopTech makes some well-reviewed street pads that stop better than your stock pad, but will be dustier.

Edit: Grabbier pads will be noisier too, just to add.

There is a fairly simple upgrade here... https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/fit-...tallation.html

You can not simply change the rotors to larger size though as the caliper has to mount in the correct location for the size of the rotor. Some people have luck with caliper spacers, but it would be a custom install.

Thanks a lot for your suggestions and hints-

Suspensions are modified standard shocks (Kayaba) with H&R springs and a strut brace helped tightening the front.

With this setup the Jazz can turn much better (and quicker) than with the standard really absurd setup.

If only it had "some" torque...
