Unhappy Clutch not Springing Back??!

Hello Fellow Fit Freaks,

I have a 2008 Honda Fit Manual. The clutch is not springing back as usual, but still works. I did a visual inspection and didn't see any leaks and the clutch fluid reservoir is still full. I think it has something to do with the clutch spring, more of a mechanical rather than hydraulic problem. Has anyone out there had any similar experience and can advise?

Thank you

P.S. I can still drive it and shift into gears with no issues..

Can you see if the lever arm (that the slave cylinder pushes against) is returning by itself?

If you can'r see anything on the outside, you may have a master cylinder failing...

Clutch not Springing back

Hello,

My problem has been solved! All by itself! I think the clutch is self-adjusting. All I did was sprayed some WD-40 to grease the clutch bracket assembly (Inside) and after a couple of trips, the problem went away.
