Hitting the motor with boost at 200k

So im looking at the sprintex kit and wondering would it be any harm on a 200,000 mile motor?

Only one way to find out

Ideally you would want to replace some seals and rings but if they are in decent shape it shouldn’t matter much. If they are weak or worn the boost will definitely expose the weaknesses.

I think you gotta weigh how long you will keep the car ... At 200k moles isn't the supercharger worth more than the car? Are you better off just buying another car? Etc. Of course some things are worth doing just for fun.

I dont believe it matters what the car is worth since there is no plans on getting rid of the car. Im looking for options to possibly hold me till next year. Im doing a complete k swap and custom turbo with built transmission. Budget for around 15k which is close to what i paid new for the car. Id rather spend 15k on a car I already own than finance 30k for something comparable when im done. Thats just my opinion. Ive had the car paid off nearly a year and halfway ready to purchase everything needed for the swap, just isnt happeneing soon enough. But ill be proud to drive a car that is bad ass and wont have the payments others are paying, like 35-40k for a Type R

Personally, if I was going to swap out the engine anyway, I wouldn't bother boosting. I'd spend money on brakes and wheels and so on.
