Exhaust recommendations?

Can anyone recommend a relatively cheaper, but nice sounding exhaust. I don't want anything too ricy, and I don't want to be dropping a ton of cash on a nice exhaust system. I've got a 2010 Fit Sport

Are you looking for a muffler or a full catback set up? If you're just looking to get some sound out of the Fit, maybe a muffler will suite you. However, I would always recommend going with something a little better. At the end of the day, you get what you pay for.

T1R offers 2 different models of mufflers for the GE8. Feel free to check them out here if you have any other questions or concerns.

Thanks.

I vote for the DIY axle back mod... Only $60 and sounds like $300. Search for it.

I am with the other guys! DIY axle back! At least pull your muffler and drive around before you buy anything. It sounds great in my books and its cheap!

Agree! TIR works on my fit and yes the sound is better compared to the standard one. On the other hand, the price is the one that makes the difference. Cheap yet of better quality indeed!

i'm running T1R B-Pipe, T1R Racing Converter, and T1R S51 Muffler. i'm just as happy with it now as i was with it 2.5 years ago when i first bought it. still sounds awesome, still performs great. no complaints at all. i like the little bit of growl with no gay rice sound.

How much power loss do you get from straight piping? Enough to matter or not noticeable?

F*ck me running.. AJR/T1R want $375 for a muffler?

You can get a full header back SS system made custom for that much

$350 range is pretty common for about all the axle-back exhausts for the Fit. Tanabe, HKS, Apexi, so on.

I did have a Tanabe Touring Medallion on backorder but never ended up getting it cause THMotorsports kept giving me the run around on the arrival date, ended up being a month later I said screw it gimme my money back, they ended up getting them a month and a half later or something, after they claimed it would be about 3-5 days when I ordered.

So right now the Fit is still stock, but thinking about going straight pipe, or custom.

I was kinda thinking it would be nice to make a interchangeable system, say cut the pipe like half way in-between the axle flange and the muffler, and make it so I can fit the stock one back on or the straight pipe with a coupler, seems doable no?

EDIT: Or instead of doing it that way do a simple y off cut out anywhere after the cats, whether it be before the resonator or near the muffler, just a simple mechanical kind, reach or crawl under there and flip a lever or remove a plate in a matter of seconds.

If you want to switch back between mufflers, why not get the T1R B-pipe, it is designed as a full bolt on, so if you install the b-pipe, you can basically install any muffler section whether it be OEM, or aftermarket.

Just my 0.2 cents.

Thanks.
