I don't recollect the exact post BUT I do believe that a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 8 or 9 fuel pump is a direct upgrade for us. There is a Walbro unit as well that should work but I do not recall it at this time as well. :/

I do believe that forum member BMW Alpina may have done the Evo fuel pump as well. I'd chime in with them to check and verify before pulling the trigger.

EDIT: Goober confirms this one might not work. looking for another one now. I also see the difference now, this one has clips on it, so i need one without the CLIPS! thanks for your help

The one you linked to... has too many things around the plug, it (probably) won't fit. You'll notice the one BMW_Alpina doesn't have the mounting clip by the nipple.

I used the DW65c pump... with barbed nipple. I used the two O-rings that came with the new pump, the old factory and ADDED one more, to fit a total of four O-rings around that barbed nipple. That's because the factory spacer doesn't fit around it. The spacer is the plastic next to the two O-rings on the nipple as per BMW_Alpina's picture here... https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/2nd-...ml#post1349379.

There is a smooth nipple version of the DW65c, but it also has the extra mounting clip... I suppose, if you bought this one or the one you linked to, with the mounting clip, you could just cut off the extra plastic.

Edit: In this video:

You can actually see one with a smooth nipple and NO mounting clip, but when you go to their site... all the pictures show either barbed nipple or having mounting clip... yeah, this is hard to find correctly.

As far as that picture goes, it SHOULD be the right one... what worries me, is that some sellers don't use the actual picture of the product. And then, when you receive it, you find out it's the other one... which was what happened when I bought it (even same version/model/kit number... 9-651-1009).

Edit: I dug up my emails with DW, and found one where they said you can either try cutting a slit on one side of the spacer to open it up a bit to move over the nipple or follow step 8 of the link. The link was dead, but I did find what was intended.

https://www.deatschwerks.com/sites/w...20Pictures.pdf

In short, step 8 has two O-ring install options... one with spacer and just one O-ring and another with no spacer but 3 O-rings. I put 4 to be safe.

Autozone Advanced Auto. it was part of a package of various size o-rings.

Yep ended up getting this one! http://a.co/dn4Sg94 finished it installing it today boys!

it was a direct fit, much easier then i thought to install it. the hardest part was just putting the assembly back on!

I also bought this tool and it made taking the ring off easier.
