How to remove?
How do you remove the 2 trim pieces on the roof and the base of the antenna? I am thinking about putting some vinyl on the roof and want to install it without these pieces getting in the way!
Thanks

i am not 100% on your car, but you will go to thre rear of the car and push the rubber trim forward towards the motor. you dont need a lot of force, it will move. And as for the antenna, you'll need to remove the headliner.

im not sure on the GE but if the roof trim feels like theyre metal, they have retaining clips every foot or so and are very easy to ding. antenna you probably wanna take off your c pillars and sag the headliner a lil bit and it should be a 14mm nut

Haven't done it yet! I'm still researching where to get the vinyl from! I will let you know! I want to do it asap so....

+1 for this. i installed the vinyl without removing this stuff... it came out pretty well, but def would be better if i knew how to take these pieces off. i'm thinkin about redo-ing it, but not until i know this info.
as far as the c-pillars, i've been pulling trim off the GE randomly, and most of it is just snap pieces.

I just received the vinyl I went with and I will be installing it soon on my fit. I will let you know how it goes and how these things are removed. I do not plan on removing the antenna base because i got a shark fin antenna to go over my base, solves that issue! haha. I am also covering the fin with vinyl.
For those that want to know i decided to go with HEXIS Carbon Fiber Vinyl which was designed specifically for auto as in contrast to the paint-harmful 3m di-noc. Plus i think hexis' stuff looks better.
I will post pics when done!

The roof trim pieces are clipped in at each end. Carefully pry up the molding around 6" behind the front end. That should release the clip - there's a keyhole slot in the clip, pulling the molding slides the clip rear wards to allow the clip to release.

did you have the hexis cf vinyl? i compared it to the 3m and i prefer it much more. I diddnt think u had that one?

i dont have it but i was planning on stocking the hexis soon and if someone woulda wanted some i would have gotten it early.
yes the cf vinyl from hexis is much better than 3m dinoc, it is an actual vehicle wrap whereas the di-noc isnt(not a lot of people know it but di-noc is actually an architectural finish vinyl it was never made for auto applications though it seems that has become its biggest sector). not to mention hexis is much much more wallet friendly than the 3m.
but 3m does have another series of vinyl made for vehicle wraps that comes in the cf textured pattern.
i actually have some samples from a dif company that just started making a cf vinyl and i love the look of the pattern and workability of it and might actually start stocking it as a distributor so i will get super good prices on it.
