Hey guys,
trying to install an amp and sub but confused on where to put the amp.

im using Orion Cobalt CO3002 so its reasonably small but i tried under the seat, then realise theres a tank under the seat
LOL!

and now confused where to install it

also on that note, where do i run the power wire from the engine to the cabin?

The problem with putting your sub in the spare tire is that you will lose the ability to place items in your cargo area without covering or blocking the sub. The Fit is designed to be versatile and practical. Do yo really want to give that up? I found an 8" sub that only requires 1/4 of a cubic foot box so I designed it to mount off the floor on the right side of the cargo area. The enclosure is only shoe box size and clears the spare tire access cover. It pounds like you wouldn't believe. However, I would still need to lift out the amp to remove the spare but on average you only need your spare once every 2 years, I would estimate. Where as you need the cargo area maybe once a week.

 

i see your point. at the moment im temporarily running a orion cobalt sub with full box. loving the sound but not the space,
i found and bought a 10" GTO JBL sub recently which im going to play around with the enclosure,
i mounted my amp under the passenger seat finnally with velcro so didnt need to bolt it down or anything
