Aftermarket Steering Wheel for GE SRS Bypass

Aftermarket Steering Wheel for GE SRS Bypass
Hi,
Has anyone tried to bypass the SRS and install aftermarket steering wheel? I was wondering if the older method of bypassing using a 2 ohm resitor would work on our GEs. I'd like to have a cheaper alternative other than buying a worksbell adapter.

Also, do GEs have a MES plug just like older hondas for resetting SRS?
TIA.

I've got an aftermarket wheel and both driver and passenger bags removed, obviously the driver with the wheel. :P I am using a Works Bell J's edition quick release and it comes with the necessary resistors for both driver and passenger harness plugs to keep the SRS light from lighting up.
So I would imagine using the resistor would work just fine since that is what comes with the WB. Not sure about the resetting of the SRS with the MES plug. My passenger side resistor either came loose before or something and the SRS light lit up, turning off the car and back on, cleared the light after reseating the resistor. I have noticed if I move the vehicle before the SRS light goes out upon startup, it will stay on. Then need to cut power completely and the light resets.
