Dealer installed armrest slide?

New Fit Sport owner in northern Georgia here. 2010 model. Had the center armrest installed today and either it's the wrong one or my dumb butt can't figure out how the slide feature is supposed to work. Dealer is closed 'til Monday, so I thought I'd ask the nice folks here. So, how does the thing work?

Do you like it better than the stock drivers-only arm rest? AT/MT?

It is way better than stock. Nicely made, great quality, etc. Only gripe is it definitely should be standard equipment, at least on a Sport.

No cupholders in installed armrest

There are no cupholders in the new armrest you can have installed to replace the armrest that comes with the Sport AT.

I was surprised to find this out. When I asked why I would lose those cupholders, Honda people told me that those cubbyholes in the console were not cupholders. The cupholders for the back seats are in the doors.

I could swear I saw a pic where cupholders folded out of the new armrest, but they said no, the new armrest doesn't have and never had cupholders folding out for the back seat passengers.

Also, the spaces inside the new armrest are SMALLER and shallower than the cubbyholes they cover. So you lose storage space, although it is now covered space in one instance, and there is a little, open squarish cubbhole that faces front in the front of the new armrest.
