Removing steering wheel trim

Removing steering wheel trim

I'm looking to remove the silver trim on the steering wheel. I started prying at it and figured out that it's push clips but I can't get most loose. Should I attack it with a cloth-covered flathead screwdriver?

It's screwed onto the steering wheel. You have to pull the wheel to get the whole assembly apart.

I guess I won't be painting it piano black to match the radio/glovebox then.

Check the civic websites...I think you have to disable the airbag too! It would be nice if JDP made a J's style cover...hmmm next group buy?

you could plasti dip the trim but it might not be as dark as the radio/glovebox
