short shifter!

In the process of installing a buddy club short shifter... How Do i remove the black cable from the original shifter box???? Got the white one no problem now I am lost

One you have to turn 90 degrees and pull up on, and the other just takes a lot of force to pop it out. Get a rag and screwdriver to see if you can pry against something. I've done this about 3 times on my GE and it got easier. Can't remember what I did exactly though. Use force. haha

It's a really easy process. I remove the black cable first (before the bolts).

The black cable removes by "twisting" it to the left and then it lifts out of the shifter once the retainer clip is removed where it holds against the lever bracket underneath.
