Has anyone thought of doing a foamectomy to the stock seats?

Having a lot of friends who drive miatas and most of them do foamectomy's to the stock seats, I was wondering if anyone here has ever thought of doing it or have done it. If not then maybe I will be the first and if it works out then I will make a DIY.

I have been wondering the same thing since I totaled my Miata and got a Fit. Foamectomied Miata seats were a great hack for the NA's.

I'd love you see how a foamectomy would turn out on the ge8. I'm sure the seat design couldn't be as simply assembled as a first gen Miatas though.

I actually thought about this since I saw some 240s with modded seats. Would love a DIY!

The back of the seats unzip, open them up and take a look. They is a lot more going on in there than a Miata seat (I own a 1990 Miata!). One of the first things I did to my Fit was to remove most of the lumbar support.
