I'm considering the Polk Audio DXi6500 speakers for the front doors in my base GE8. Crutchfield says they won't fit. I've done some searching on this forum to fact-check the fitment but haven't found anything conclusive about these speakers.

What I have found says that the "s" (shallow) versions of these speakers feature a more flush tweeter on the 2-way/coaxial models. But what about the component set?
