Question Clazzio Conundrum

I'm getting sick of getting shocked every time I get out of my Fit. I've been spoiled. My last 3 cars all had leather seats. I want to get Clazzio covers. If I could be content with the all PVC seats I could drop the hammer now and order them. But I really think I'd prefer the leather inserts. But at another ~$150 it's harder to justify, so I put off the purchase until later.

Of the people here who have the Clazzio all PVC covers and live in hot areas, do you get sweaty from sitting on the plastic seat covers? Help me break my indecision.

Im in nyc so not sure if you consider average summer temp 80-90 hot or not but i haven't had any problems with my seats due to heat. HOWEVER my girlfriend hates getting in on summer days because they do somewhat give off a burning sensation on bare skin.

why not get a shop to custom sew some in??

I bought light gray, all vinyl clazzios for my 2012. The lighter gray ones that I have don't get quite as hot as the darker ones, but on a hot day they're still hotter than the factory black fabric. The perforated bottom and seat back helps it breathe a little bit though. Visually they look almost identical to factory leather seats. If you don't tell people I would doubt they would even know they were vinyl seat covers. I've seen pics of the new 2015 Fits with factory leather seats and there's very little difference in the way they look compared to the Clazzios IMO.

I wanted to add that several people have mentioned that they don't think the extra for leather is worth it on the Clazzios. The only part that would be leather is the middle perforated part anyway, not the whole seat cover.

My light gray pvc clazzios get hot when in direct sunlight. On long HOT drives where the a/c becomes barely adequate, I get a little sweaty. I'd still take the clazzios over the cloth, and don't regret NOT getting the leather inserts.
