I've searched all of these forums for this information but most of the threads seem to date from before or after the 2nd generation Fit and the others haven't really answered the question.

I'm planning to buy a 4-channel compact amp to drive new composite speakers with the factory head unit but am having trouble seeing where it could go without being out in the open in the trunk and taking up cargo room, which I want to avoid. I've seen some people suggest putting the amp under one of the front seats but they seem to be referring to the 1st gen Fits which I assume were built differently than 2nd gen because there doesn't seem to be any room at all under the seats in my car. Is there room against one of the side walls in the cargo area, perhaps under a cover of some sort? My spare tire area already has stuff in it and I might put a sub in there in the future.

So for all of you with a 2nd gen Fit, where did you put your amp, and which amp did you buy? Thanks!

Hi AJ. I don't have the amp yet. In fact I'm looking for recommendations. All I know is that I want a compact one to minimize the space it'll require.

 

I had the Kenwood KAC M3004 amp and I hid it up, above my glove box. I have a GK so I don't know how the GE glove box is for space.
An option I toyed with was to put the amp to the right of the glovebox. I'll see if I can dig up some pictures.
