Wiper relay location

Where is the wiper relay on a 2009 Fit? In a few rare but dangerous occasions the wipers would stop working.I figured if the motor was bad they would not work at all the same with the fuse.

I'm not seeing a wiper relay in the service manual. Troubleshooting involves pulling codes (yes, for the wipers) and drills down to replacing either the wiper motor or the multiplex-integrated-control-unit (MICU) (small computer). The front wiper fuse is also for the MICU, fuse 56. Sorry, no relay. The MICU is pricey I bet. Could be a bad switch or some other component.

Wife's CIVIC had that problem: wouldn't start or stopped while seeming to be working fine. Ended up being the motor (messed around with steering column / switch but no change, so decided on motor). The '09 CIVIC now has 126,000 on but the problem was occurring around 100K.

Yes, huge pain to change 'and' make sure you get the linkage properly timed (wipers stop in their proper orientation below the line of sight). Problem was resolved.
