Question A lot of question with the dealers, and break making noise.

I have a 2013 honda fit, with 57000km , mainly city driving

visited the dealer before the city lockdwn.

the dealers recommended:
  1. drain brake fluid ( did it 2.5 years ago, so i refused)
  2. changed air filter and pollet filter, which i changed 2 years/14km ago, so i also refused
  3. changed the automatic transmission fluid because it's "light pink"
  4. changed the belt because it's crack (ok, i see the crack, if i see the same belt)
  5. wheel alignment (ok, i am guilt about it)
My question is,
  1. I read the owner it's stated the automatic transmission fluid should be good for the first 96000km, but did not state time flame
  2. does the bad belt caused trouble with the transmission shifting issues?
  3. My other question - about a month later, the front breaks start making noise. It's make noise when i pressing it at slow speed (about 30k or slower). It is not load, but it's enough when i can hear them when breaking. (they claimed my break is ok in March.)
Thx

96k miles is too far an interval for transmission. You should have your first around 60k, subsequent changes every 36k. Brake fluid needs to be changed every three years. Air filter is dependent on what sort of environment but 15k is a good service window for filters.

I have no idea how you draw a correlation between "belt" and transmission shift quality, there isn't. Only belt that needs changing on the car is the serpentine belt and that needs to happen around 100k or so, sooner if the rubber perishes. Brakes last a while on the second gen but 60k is a good time to change them.

Sorry, my mistake, the car was 57000km.

the transmission shift rough until the transmission fluid and serpentine belt changed. So i come up to this conclusion.
