When I went to start my car my ignition key only went halfway in this has never happened before my car has 120,000 MI any suggestions?

 

Sounds like lack of lubrication. STRATTEC makes a product called Lokshot that's intended for this. Honda makes a similar product you should be able to order. They're both greases rather than oils. In a pinch you can try a 1 second shot of WD40, but it's not really an oil. If you can get the key in, work it in and out, CW and CCW a few times to distribute it.
