What Brand Of Rotor To Buy 2012 Fit

I will soon be replacing my front pads and rotors on my 2012 Fit base model which just turned 44,000 miles on the initial set of pads. I have already purchased Wagner OEX938 pads which are supposed to be top of the line so it makes sense to choose a good quality rotor. There are way too many brands to choose from. My first thought is to also use the Wagner brand. However, I have no idea if these are any good. I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions on what brands are good and which ones to stay away from. I imagine they all are made in China. I will appreciate any thoughts anyone might h

Try Maxx Brakes.

Got the front rotors (rust treated) and pads for 79 $ CDN shipped to my door. Love them so far.

Don't know what prices it would be in the US. They might have a site in the US too.

I approve of spending money on brakes.

However, new rotors at 44k seems over-enthusiastic to me. Is it the Ohio climate that did in your OEM rotors?

Unless your rotors are damaged and need to be replaced, just have your original rotors turned at your local automotive store/ machine shop. You can probably have this done for $10.00 or less per rotor, depending on where you live. Your original Honda rotors will be a better quality than most replacement rotors you find.

Honda rotors are crap. They rust super fast (OP rotors are probably rusted out, unless he lives where there is no salt). IMO, no need spend lot of money on Honda rotors. Most aftermarket options are better and cost less.

But to each is own!

This is what I used. I like them. Rear drums are a different story. I went with a local auto parts store and they started rusting in a month.
Had to take them off and paint them. Kind of weird they don't tell you to do this. I painted the front calibers the same color red.

I would recommend getting coated rotors if you're worried about rust. Centric rotors are a good price and are decent quality. Powerstop as well. I use Centric rotors and Powerstop pads on the Fit right now, my Miata has Centric rotors and EBC pads.
