Exclamation Help me restore my FIT's AC to stock.

A bit of history with what's been done.

1st repair attempt.
-This is due to AC no longer blowing cold air. So a mechanic bypassed everything and every time the AC is turned on the compressor just starts and will not stop not unless the AC is turned off.
2nd repair attempt.
-After finding out about what the other mechanic did, I decided to give it another shot to another mechanic, he said the thermistor is the problem, unfortunately he doesn't have the part and is not knowledgeable in replacing it. He had a workaround, installing a digital thermistor and putting it just below the dashboard, bypassing the original thermistor. I agreed to this knowing the AC compressor does not shut off at all and could lead to a more expensive problem.

So now, I just want to restore everything back to original. Any help would be appreciated, I'm willing to do it myself, I'm knowledgeable in soldering, creating harness, etc. but I'm not sure which wire goes to as the first mechanic who did the job did a lot of splicing! Some of the compressor wires are just taped with electrical tape that does not withstand engine bay heat and now worn off. Not sure where these wires go to originally.

Is the second mechanic correct? That thermistor is the problem? How do I go about replacing this? I can't seem to find instructions in any honda fit repair manual.
Oh by the way, I was not there when the first repair attempt was done, so I don't know what he really did.
