Removing A pillar trim to place cables

I need to pull the driver or passenger A pillar plastic trim to run some wiring. This is on a 2009 base Fit. I'm installing a navigation head unit upgrade and need to run wires for the dashcam and mic up to the headliner. Haven't found any Youtube videos how this comes off, or how to lift the front edge of the headliner to get the dashcam cable over toward the center.
Here's the navigation head unit by JoyingAuto I selected:

Really nice Android 10.1" touchscreen screen with factory trim, pretty much a drop-in install other than running these cables. Anyone done sticky or how-to series how to run cables thru the A pillars? I don't want to wreck the trim or headliner.

You may be able to get your wiring under the edge of the A pillar trim, but if you attempt to remove the A pillar be aware that a non-reusable clip is used to hold it in place, probably having something to do with the functionality of the airbag behind the trim. Speaking of the airbags, you should obviously unhook the battery before messing with any part of the car associated with the airbag systems. There should be an air bag symbol molded into these areas of trim.
The service manual describes the proper procedure for removal on pages 20-69 - 20-71.

I typically just pull the rubber molding and slip the wire in there then use a pry tool to tuck it into the headliner up top. No need to remove the a pillar trim at all.

I think it will have to come off because the cable has to run thru the dash behind the instrument cluster to get to the head unit. Had the cluster out before, not hard. The top clip pin has to be changed, you gotta whack the trim to release it and it breaks by design. They're cheap.

gotchya, but I personally always go passenger side behind glovebox. I really hate removing a pillars with single use clips lol.

That would be better for sure, but I still have to pull the trim and feed it down the pillar leg to get behind the dash at the window triangle area. So I'm going to need the clips anyway. I'll have to measure the cable to be sure there is enough length first.
