Any updates to the clock issue on Honda Nav?

August has arrived and was wondering if anybody has heard an update of the GPS satellite issue that honda said would auto-correct in Aug 2022 ?

Haven't heard anything myself. My Accord has that same issue and it would be a nice little addition to have a functioning clock again.

Your clock will fix itself on the 16th this month. The mathmatical checksum the radio uses to interpret time from the satellites is flawed, and long story short the integer problem will sort itself on the 16th at 4 AM, I think.

That would be great. This has been the most minor of the many problems we’ve had with the Fit but it is irritating nonetheless. All of the early orders of the 2009 Fit with manual trans and Navi were built on US Thanksgiving 2008. We got ours in January of 2009. We celebrated our long ownership experience with another day at the dealer today getting the axle recall taken care of. Parts availability has always been a problem. Fortunately not today.

August 16, 4 am.

No change. Maybe one more day? I read in the official service documents that it would be the 17th.

My clock was 10-15 minutes off this morning. I just checked and it is 70-75 minutes off this afternoon. What is happening? This "fix" is making the issue worse for me.

While in map mode go into "setup" ,"more" "clock settings" "clock adjustment." Turn off "auto daylight savings time," then manually set your clock to the right time. This is what worked for me.

However, the date is incorrect and there's no way to set that manually.

I was excited for the day for the clocks to fix but am slightly annoyed at the date not fixing.

For anyone wanting an answer to the date error:

Global Positioning Systems measure time from an epoch, or a specific starting point used to calculate time. The date is broadcasted including a number representing the week, coded in 10 binary digits. These digits count from 0 to 1023 then roll over on week 1024. GPS weeks first started on January 6, 1980 before first zeroing out on midnight August 21, 1999. It happened again April 6, 2019. The next happens in 2038.

In short, the date will never fix itself. But considering how old these radios are I'm not surprised. I say look into a newer radio. Hell having bluetooth alone should be enough of a motivator. Lots of great radios out there for around $300 with android auto/carplay
