Good morning all,

I'm getting a strange blowing noise when I'm below 2000 RPM's in 4th and 5th gear on my 2010 base model. AC is off. I'm going to check if it still happens with the blower on here in a bit, but I wanted to post this and see if people have heard of this before.

Still made the sound with the blower off. I'm going to check the valve spacing clearance later.

 

Are you lugging the engine? Meaning trying to accelerate at all at those speeds? Mine sounds wrong if I'm a gear too high, but that noise is only apparent for me in second.

 

Yeah I’m accelerating through those revs. I am under shifting, shifting at like 2100 RPMs. But it’s not the sound of super low shifting. When I isolated it today, it sounded like valve noise, but that could be my bias

Bumping for visibility. I haven't checked yet, but I will sometime soon. If anyone has any other ideas I'm happy to hear them.

 

Could you maybe post a video or some kind, I have a weird sound coming from my fit when I'm in lower RPMs as well, not sure if there is something wrong with the car or if I'm just in the wrong gear.
