anyone have this problem or heard of it? am i going to have to replace the whole radio? 2012 base model

 

I have not had this happen to my radio, but I bought a 2013 back up radio a month ago for $20.00 just for this reason. You can Google the removal/ installation procedure- it's pretty simple.

If the oem Fit radio meets your needs, you should be able to find one on CraigsList or Ebay pretty inexpensively.

 

cool, thanks. i was considering upgrading the radio but oem is definitely a money saver. besides my iphone doesn't have the aux anymore so i'd have to get an ipod or something
