I have a 2008 manual Honda fit. I was driving to work today on the highway. For the first time today I would be going around 80mph, and then it seems that the gas would no got into the engine. It would let up, and I would press the gas pedal or even pump the pedal and for a few seconds but nothing would happen and then suddenly the whole car would stutter or shutter. I would let the car go below 80mph and then I would press the gas and it would be go again. It always seem to happen around 80mph. Any suggestions on what is going on?

 

Could be a fuel delivery and/or sensor issue. I'd get it hooked up to a proper scanner. Elsewise you'll be flinging excrement at the wall. Check fuel trims and sensor readouts during load, no load, etc. If you don't have a proper computer, find somebody who has one.

 

Did the RPMs change, and did you recently change the transmission fluid or do you have a leak?
