Turns over 1-2 times sounds like it wheezes... Checked Connections, they look ok....What do I look at next?

Is the new battery charged?

 

Good ground connections.

 

Yup just checked, battery fully charged. I have checked fuses, and grounds, all look good.

 

post up voltage readings from before and after trying to start to isolate whether you have fault in your battery or if your alternator is leaving you with a low charge. if the battery is starting at and staying at good voltage (12.6) and connections are good, then check for codes, begin considering starter replacement/issues.
​​​​​​slow/few cranks is starter/battery stuff.

 

battery is 12.3 and when turned over goes down to 7.4 (2 slow turns then stops) after battery still reads 12.3. Going to get a tester for codes tomorrow.

 

Sounds like your new battery isn't up to snuff. Maybe not bad, but perhaps not rated for starting our little engines/defective? Is it properly sized with cold cranking amps n what not? 370cca or around there?
