Identify This Oil Leak
Be sure to post up pictures! And.. sorry we couldn't point to a more specific location.
If it's not the valve cover, I would consider hoses connected to the intake plenum as strong possibilities. Oh. you could do the PCV hose pinch test. I'll try to find the thread about it.. it's not likely your leak (still possible) but it may tell you the cause of your leak!
Edit: Here's the thread link for pcv location

@zcargo Thanks, Mark. The AC appears to be working normally.
Next step might be to lift the car and start taking things off: wheel, wheel well liner, every cowl that's blocking the view, etc. A pain in the neck I'm not up for this week, but maybe soon.

I don't think anyone has mentioned the dipstick tube. It's right above the oil filter where some oil is apparent. A possible reason it looks cleaner than the grime on the bottom of the engine is that the oil is transporting grime down to low points where it collects and dries. If you see evidence of oil pushing around the dipstick tube, the o-ring may be leaking, or your PCV system may be unhappy and raising crankcase pressure.

Can I have another guess? I'm on a roll today
It is possible during the prior oil change the oil filter gasket may not have seated completely to the crankcase and allowed oil to weep. Maybe all you need is to clean the old mess, and install/tighten a new name brand oil filter, fill 'er with oil and maybe life will be Fit goodness again.
