EGR passages

Today I cleaned my EGR passages out plus the EGR valve. I figured some might be curious what it looked like dirty before I cleaned it. I have a 2009 with like 112k miles.
Changed the gasket when I was finished. 17146-RB0-004 Gasket, EGR Chamber cover hondaautomotiveparts.com $23.76.
Used this video to help:

The bolt holes aren't symmetrical, so basically they made it idiot proof to put on. I had the same question myself and after flipping it around a few times confirmed it only goes on one way.
The bigger pain was cleaning up the old gasket with a razor blade. You can reuse the gasket but I wouldn't. Not something that needs changed often, so better just to change it.

@SiXiam Good post, sir.

The best part of the video was that he showed the brush. Otherwise, it was a "cleaning" video that didn't show any cleaning.

Thanks!
In fairness to them you wouldn't have seen much other than their hand moving a brush. Given it would have blocked the view.
I wish now I took a picture after I finished cleaning, but I really only took the dirty image to show my dad. Later on I thought: oh I better post it here. I knew it was a common thing to clean in other Honda's like the Civic.
