Hi, We just discovered a tear in the serpentine belt. Engine made a rattling and we saw the tear. we cut off the splayed piece and drove 20 minutes to a safer spot. We are two hours from any services Is it safe to drive? If the belt did break, would we lose power steering? If it breaks, can we continue driving if we keep an eye on the engine temperature?
