Wheels/Tires/Brakes Fit Check before purchase
Hi folks!
Thanks in advance for any help/wisdom you can provide. I am about to pull the trigger on a wheel/tire/brake overhaul for my 2012 GE Base and wanted to sanity check the list.
The car is currently bone stock, from ride-height to stereo. Going through dozens of threads where I have landed is the following setup:
-- Wheels: Enkei RPF1 15x7 41 ET
-- Tires: GENERAL ALTIMAX RT45 195/55 R15 85V SL BSW
-- Brakes: ITR 11" Brake Upgrade
Would love to hear whether I am running afoul of any known fitment issues. There is a lot of back and forth chatter about rubbing and clearance with everything and no canonical source that seems to indicate whether I'm on the right track.
Particularly curious as to whether the 11" brakes are going to be problematic with the RPF1's in 15"
Thanks again!

Seems like you could run into clearance issues between the wheels & brakes:

The wheels/tires should have plenty of clearance to the fenders, but may look a bit goofy at stock height.
Unless you’re tracking the car or doing something reckless on the street you can definitely do a stock size caliper and have plenty of stopping capacity. With that setup I wouldn’t be shocked if the all-season tires are actually the biggest limiting factor.
(to be clear, those tires are totally fine for street driving. They’re just not going to maximize threshold braking performance)
