Brake Fitment

Hello all,

Looking to make a bit of a track day/seat time Honda Fit. The 2 big upgrades I'm looking into immediately are bigger brakes and wider tires. I really like the older integra Type R big brake upgrade with the 280mm rotors from a mini cooper. I'm also drawn the the Konig Hypergram 15x7.5" (+35 offset) wheel. I'm not going to run into any caliper fitment issues, will I? I'm almost certain I can get 205 or even 225 section tires on the wheels and not worry about rubbing with some camber and rolled fenders. I'm just more worried about the calipers since I don't have any wheel bore diameter measurements to compare with caliper diameter measurements.

Any input is appreciated. Thanks,

Matt

This is a 297mm Mini Cooper rotor with 2014 accord caliper and braket to run the mini rotor you need to get the stud spacer to center the rotor

This wheels are 16 by 7 offset +40 215 45 16 no rub 215 50 16 fender roll needed

I'm reading online '97 Type R's had 15x6.5" with a +40 offset. 17mm is almost 3/4" extra diameter. I like the photos though. Really, the only 2 reasons why I'm trying to avoid 16" wheels is additional price and rotational weight. So I'm feeling a bit more confident going with 15" wheels.

that’s cool I see the 15 type r you right but you may get away with a 195 or 205 tire depending on profile

Not sure if you're also looking at the rears, but the Fastbrakes disc conversion kit fits with the stock 15" steels.
