Does the volume knob anyone else's fit not work properly? When trying to adjust the volume level, the numbers skip around randomly regardless of the direction you turn the knob.

The aux jack is also acting up where you a big bump on the road will cause interference.

 

There is a thread on the forum on how to replace the volume knob.

Not sure about the input jack, but if I remember correctly, there is also a thread on this.

Or replace the radio with an aftermarket unit.

 

Yep, my 2009 has started doing this. I will look for the thread Frenzal mentioned ...

So I got to looking on Amazon and they seem to have some nice Black Friday deals going on.
I have to ask though if I go to install an aftermarket radio, what is all the hubbub about a code which is needed? I'm rather new to the Fit and I do have a card with the manuals which has a code but will that work with any radio?

The code is for the OE radio only. Any aftermarket radio will work just fine without it.

I suggest you look on Crutchfield has they supply installation instructions for free and can also supply wire harnesses so you won't have to solder anything yourself.
