Ref 2009 Honda Fit. Drivers side Brake light not working properly
When my Brake light did not work I did the obvious and changed the bulb. It worked fine so I plugged it back into the tail light housing. It work for a while then it stopped working again. I inspected it closer and found a broken piece missing off the side of the bulb socket. I purchased a new bulb socket. I then removed old socket and inserted the new socket. Again the bulb work fine so I once again inserted it back into tail light housing. After a while it stopped working again. I now have what's described as a "Tail/Brake Light Socket w/Female Wiring Harness/Pigtail Assembly" in my possession. See attachment. My questions are as follows:
(1) Has anyone experienced this kind of intermitted On/Off brake light situation, and if so did they manage to trace it to something specific?
(2) Has anyone tired installing this Pigtail Assembly, and if so is there anything funky I would need to know before starting this install?
Right now the only issue I see visually is the massive amounts of protective tape that seems to be wrapped around the wires I would need to splice this Pigtail into
Any and all thoughts are much appreciated
And Merry Christmas Happy Holidays to all PIGTAIL ASSEMBLY
