Part identification /input shaft speed sensor

Part identification /input shaft speed sensor

Can someone tell me what the round part is attached to the U shaped hose? Its under the air filter box attached to the transmission.  A lot of grease around it, trying to figure out where its coming from.

Related question, directly beneath this round thing, is a sensor with an electrical connector. Is that the input shaft speed sensor?

The round part should be your transmission filter.

No idea about the one with electrical connector
