GE Independent Fog Light Mod
GE Independent Fog Light Mod
Wanted to share in case others are looking for it. Honda Fit Guy on YouTube did a tutorial on how to do the independent fog light mod for the GE. I know myself I was scouring through old old write ups on here that had all of the images deleted. Haven't gotten to do it yet but will soon.

I had seen that video a few weeks ago. I'm on the fence..... Hotwiring something into the fuse panel seems a little sketchy to me, but if nothing else at least it would be able to return to stock if desired.
Thanks for bring it to the attention of the forum, so hopefully others can weigh in on it.

Looks fine to me, that said wouldn't hurt to measure current draw to consider adding an inline fuse to the wire "just encase" though if it's really only 1-2 amps it's probably never going to be an issue with a 14ga multi-strand copper wire. I'd be more curious to know if it works with the key off, and ensure there's no unintended current draw post mod so you don't possibly come out to a dead battery because you didn't drive the car for a few days.
I used to like similar mods when I was younger but now that I'm 40... honestly... I don't care. I used to be into the whole sleepy eye thing when I had a car with pop up's and having them to where I would activate just 1 side to cycle so it would "wink". It's all just silly to me now. The fog lights aren't supposed to be on when the high beams are on. Low beams they can be on... I don't see a need to have the fogs on with the high beams. Just weighing in for whatever it's worth that I don't think you're going to hurt anything doing this if you want to. I personally would be more interested in having a way to actually turn the day time running lights off... I hate that "feature" on newer cars.

I have wanted to do this so I can have the fog lights on without having my headlights on. Just parking lights. As far as the DRLs - I turned mine off on my 2013 by just pulling the fuse for them. I didn't like it either
